Other Financial Aid and Help

Insurance Wellness Programs - Independent Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • We are now registered and/or accepting most Independent Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield wellness cards. The responsibility of knowing if your plan qualifies is on the individual family, not Empire. In most cases, you can pay on your child’s player fees using the wellness credits through our online registration system.

  • If you want to use a specific amount that is different than a payment amount we have two options;

    • Send us your wellness card information so we can make the partial payment for you (preferred)

    • Send us an email stating how much you want to use on your card and we can adjust one of your payment amounts to match.

Fundraising Ideas

  • Empire is not currently staffed to set up and run fundraisers. However, over the years we've accumulated a number of ideas and options that would be supported. All that is needed is an individual(s) who want to lead an initiative. If you are looking for ways to defray costs of participating in the program and you have the time and energy to lead a fundraising initiative, let us know

Family Discounts*

  • ALL DISCOUNTS WILL BE APPLIED IN JANUARY

  • If you have two children in the program we’ll discount both tuition amounts by 4%

  • If you have three children in the program we’ll discount all three tuition amounts by 8%

  * Only applies to rostered children (developmental players are not eligible for family discounting)

Player Assistance & Tuition Credit Program

Investing in Players. Strengthening Families. Building Community.

The Buffalo Stallions Soccer Club believes every child should have the opportunity to participate regardless of financial hardship.

As a nonprofit organization, we understand that every family's financial situation is different. Our Player Assistance & Tuition Credit Program is designed to help make participation more affordable while responsibly managing the Club's limited financial resources.

Player Assistance

Need-based Player Assistance is available for families experiencing financial hardship.

Applications are reviewed using a confidential and objective financial formula based on:

  • Household Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)

  • Number of dependents

  • Available annual Player Assistance funding

All applications are reviewed consistently and confidentially using the same published criteria.

Tuition Credit Program

Every Buffalo Stallions family may reduce the cost of participation by earning Tuition Credits through approved volunteer service.

Families earn $20 in tuition credit for each approved volunteer hour, with opportunities available throughout the year at tournaments, community events, fundraisers, concessions, registration events, and other Club activities.

How to Apply

Families interested in Player Assistance should contact the Club to request an application.

Applicants will be asked to provide:

  • Completed Player Assistance Application

  • Most recent Federal Tax Return (Form 1040)

  • W-2s or equivalent income documentation

  • Additional documentation if requested

Applications should be submitted prior to accepting a roster position whenever possible.

Our Commitment

The Buffalo Stallions Soccer Club is committed to administering the Player Assistance Program fairly, consistently, and confidentially.

Every application is evaluated using the same objective financial criteria. The Club does not evaluate personal spending decisions or lifestyle choices. Assistance is awarded based solely on demonstrated financial need and available program funding.
